How much does galvanized cable tray cost in Uganda

Galvanized cable trays in Uganda are available from local suppliers at competitive prices, with costs varying by size, type, and supplier.

Overview

Galvanized cable trays are widely used in Uganda for industrial, commercial, and large-scale electrical installations due to their durability in humid and corrosive environments. They are typically made from hot-dip galvanized steel, which provides long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion, making them ideal for Uganda's tropical climate.

Pricing

The price of galvanized cable trays in Uganda depends on dimensions, type, and supplier: Standard sizes such as 100mm x 25mm or 500mm x 50mm are commonly available. Suppliers like Build Matt Ltd. and Brilltech Engineers offer both standard and customized trays, with local fabrication ensuring faster delivery and competitive pricing. For large-scale industrial projects, galvanized cable trays are generally 40–60% cheaper than equivalent conduit installations, as a single tray can carry multiple cables simultaneously, reducing material and installation costs.

While exact per-metre prices are not always publicly listed, local suppliers provide quotes upon enquiry, and prices can vary depending on the quantity, customization, and delivery location within Uganda.
