Italy imported 12-core wiring unit

Italy imports and sources 12-core multicore wiring units from both domestic manufacturers and international suppliers, with key importers including ELFIT SPA, URT SRL, and MICROELETTRICA SCIENTIFICA. Overview of 12-Core Wiring UnitsA 12-core wiring unit is a type of multicore cable consisting of 12 individually insulated conductors enclosed within a single outer sheath. These cables are widely used in industrial machinery, control systems, automation, audio-visual setups, and power distribution, where multiple electrical connections are required in a compact and organized form.

They can be shielded or unshielded, and are available in various conductor sizes and insulation materials to meet specific performance and environmental requirements (Farnell Italy).

Several Italian companies manufacture and supply multicore cables, including 12-core units: Salcavi Industries: Offers a wide range of electrical cables, including multicore and high-temperature cables, suitable for industrial and specialized applications.

ITALICA

B Srl: Provides standard and special application multicore cables, with expertise in copper conductors, thermoplastic insulation, and customized solutions for automation, robotics, and high-temperature environments. O. E.

M. Srl: Specializes in high-performance industrial wiring solutions, offering customized and certified multicore cables for sectors like electric mobility, industrial machinery, and avionics.

Import Market in Italy

According to recent import data, Italy has 407 active electric wire importers, sourcing from over 300 global suppliers. Between March 2023 and February 2024, 161 importers were active, with ELFIT SPA, URT SRL, and MICROELETTRICA SCIENTIFICA accounting for 44% of total electric wire imports.

ELFIT SP

A alone handled 20% of shipments, making it the leading importer. These importers are likely to handle multicore cables, including 12-core wiring units, for industrial and commercial applications.

Applications and Considerations

When sourcing 12-core wiring units in Italy, consider: Shielding requirements: For environments with high electromagnetic interference, shielded cables are preferred. Conductor size and insulation: Must match voltage, current, and temperature specifications. Compliance: Ensure cables meet Italian and EU standards for safety and performance.

Supplier support: Companies like ITALICAB and O. E. M. provide technical assistance for custom cable design and testing.

Italy's market for 12-core wiring units is well-served by both domestic manufacturers and importers, offering a range of standard and customized solutions for industrial, commercial, and specialized applications.
